Tomorrow being our final assessment for year 2, I think it is fitting I finish it off with a post about my portfolio! In a couple of previous posts I spoke about visual identity and self-promo research and tips and tricks (see here: 1, 2, 3), and now it is time for the big reveal of what I’ve come to producing.
To be honest, I think I could have done a little bit more with it, but I am very happy with my pack! It works both as a self-promo and a portfolio pack. It includes my CV (designed with free icons from here), a Manifesto mini zine, a copy of TALENT magazine, 3 different Press Pass cards with contact details on the other side, and 3 custom illustrated cards. It is cheap to produce AND features my best work from this year, so it can be used both as a portfolio sent in to someone’s mail box or just a self-promo pack given out at events. The envelope upholds my created visual identity of traditional, hand made illustrations with an equal amount of new-age graphic design.
