Some ideas were bounced off in the group while putting together the summer show proposal presentation. It was decided for this proposal that the exhibition should have a variety of striking, bold colours to complement the work that is put up, and should be divided per studio so each one has their own set colour.
Perhaps textures and patterns should be considered and put to use in the curation process. The typefaces used for labels and signage should be ones approved by the brand guidelines (so typefaces like Helvetica Neue).
There was a suggestion that displays use acrylic cases to protect the physical objects displayed.
It is suggested that all signs and labels should be simple and minimalistic, in black and white, short and concise. There was also the suggestion of having a “rest” area with sofas or even stools for visitors to lounge about.
